The Secret to Getting Pregnant Without IVF — Even If Nothing Has Worked So Far on Your TTC Journey

Trying to conceive month after month is so emotional, draining, and discouraging at times. Especially when you’ve already “done everything right” and still haven’t gotten the positive test you’ve been hoping for.

Then when your doctor starts talking about IUI or IVF, it can suddenly feel like those are your only options.

But here’s the thing;  just because you haven’t gotten pregnant yet does not automatically mean your body is incapable of getting pregnant naturally.

There’s usually a reason your body isn’t fully prioritizing fertility right now. And when you uncover what’s actually going on underneath the surface and support your body properly, things can begin to shift in a really powerful way.

Getting pregnant naturally is such a worthwhile goal to work towards because fertility treatments like IUI and IVF are incredibly expensive — often costing thousands (or even tens of thousands) of dollars with no guarantee of success. Many families simply cannot afford that investment, especially when insurance doesn’t cover infertility treatment.

And beyond the financial side, getting pregnant naturally can bring such a deep sense of relief and confidence. You get to feel proud of your body, avoid the intense medications and side effects that often come with fertility procedures, and move through your fertility journey in a way that feels more aligned and supportive.

In this post, I’m going to walk you through the 3 steps I use inside my Fertility Maximizer program to help women uncover root causes of infertility, restore ovulation and hormone balance, and dramatically improve their chances of getting pregnant naturally.

Ready? Let’s get into it.

Step 1: Uncover the Root Cause of Your Infertility

If you’ve been unable to get pregnant on your own, there is a reason.

Your body is always communicating with you — and instead of jumping straight to invasive procedures, we first need to do our due diligence and figure out why conception hasn’t happened yet.

This is where functional testing becomes incredibly important.

Traditional fertility care often focuses heavily on procedures and protocols, but many women never receive a thorough investigation into the deeper imbalances affecting fertility in the first place. Inside Fertility Maximizer, every client receives an HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) so we can fully assess mineral status and evaluate for toxic heavy metals.

Why does this matter?

Because minerals play a massive role in hormone production, ovulation, egg quality, cervical mucus production, and overall reproductive health.

When the body is depleted in minerals or overloaded with toxic metals, it may not feel safe enough to prioritize fertility.

And unfortunately, most OBGYNs and fertility clinics are not evaluating these deeper imbalances.

Once we identify deficiencies, imbalances, or toxic heavy metal burdens and begin correcting them, the body is often able to function much more efficiently, rather quickly. Cycles begin regulating. Ovulation improves. Hormones become more balanced. And many women are then able to get pregnant naturally within just a few cycles.

Hormone testing is another critical piece of this process.

We need to know:

  • Are you actually ovulating?
  • When are you ovulating?
  • Is progesterone rising adequately after ovulation?
  • Are estrogen, LH, and FSH functioning properly throughout your cycle?

Because even if ovulation is happening, low progesterone can make it difficult to sustain a pregnancy and may contribute to early miscarriage.

Traditional hormone testing usually involves bloodwork on day 3 and day 17 of your cycle. While those labs absolutely have value, they only provide small snapshots of what’s happening hormonally.

Inside Fertility Maximizer, I prefer using the Mira at-home hormone tracking system so we can monitor estrogen, progesterone, LH, and FSH throughout the entire cycle. That gives us much more complete and accurate information to work from.

And when you finally have real answers about what your body needs? Everything starts becoming much easier.

Step 2: Address the Imbalances That Are Blocking Fertility

Once we uncover what’s going on, the next step is taking intentional action to support your body.

This usually involves a combination of:

  • Dietary changes
  • Lifestyle habit shifts
  • Strategic supplementation
  • Nervous system support
  • Mineral rebalancing
  • Heavy metal detox support (when appropriate)

This is exactly why every Fertility Maximizer client receives a completely customized care plan based on their HTMA and hormone results.

Because fertility support should never be one-size-fits-all.

Minerals have incredibly important jobs when it comes to fertility and ovulation.

For example:

  • Zinc helps trigger LH, which is necessary for ovulation
  • Magnesium helps convert into pregnenolone, which then becomes progesterone
  • Low or imbalanced magnesium, copper, zinc, selenium, chromium, or iron can negatively impact egg quality
  • Cervical mucus production is heavily mineral-dependent and requires adequate sodium, potassium, zinc, and selenium
  • Mineral depletion can make it harder for the body to ovulate consistently
  • Imbalances may contribute to irregular cycles and poor hormone communication

And toxic heavy metals can interfere with fertility too.

For example:

  • Mercury and aluminum can interfere with the release of LH
  • Lead, arsenic, and mercury disrupt the HPO axis (the communication system between our hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and ovaries)
  • Cadmium may cause the development of fibroids
  • Lead suppresses libido

This is why simply “trying harder” to conceive often doesn’t work.

Your body may need support before it can fully move into a fertile state.

Inside my program, I help clients implement these changes in a sustainable, realistic way. You won’t be left trying to figure out complicated protocols on your own or wondering which supplements actually matter.

Instead, you’ll have a clear plan based on your body and your results.

Step 3: Support Strong, Healthy Ovulation Every Month

Ovulation is one of the biggest indicators of overall fertility health.

So once we’ve started correcting deeper imbalances, we want to consistently support strong, healthy ovulation each month.

This often includes:

  • Increasing zinc-rich foods
  • Preparing meals that support healthy blood sugar regulation
  • Using myo-inositol when appropriate
  • Adding seed cycling into your routine
  • Taking a daily 30-minute walk
  • Improving stress resiliency
  • Supporting healthy sleep habits

These may seem like simple habits, but they create a powerful foundation for hormone balance and reproductive health.

Blood sugar regulation in particular is incredibly important because unstable blood sugar can negatively impact ovulation and progesterone production.

Stress matters too.

Your body is designed to prioritize survival before reproduction. If your nervous system constantly feels overwhelmed, depleted, or under pressure, fertility will take a back seat.

That’s why we focus on supporting the body as a whole — not just chasing ovulation strips and crossing fingers each month.

At this stage, we also continue monitoring hormone levels carefully so we can:

  • Confirm ovulation is occurring
  • Track improvements over time
  • Precisely identify the fertile window
  • Make strategic adjustments when needed

This creates a much more intentional and informed approach to conception instead of simply “hoping” timing lines up each cycle.

“But What If I’ve Already Been Trying Naturally for Years?”

You may be thinking:

“I’ve already been trying to get pregnant naturally for months (maybe even years). So how is this any different? Isn’t this just delaying the inevitable of having to do IUI or IVF?”

And that’s a completely valid question.

But here’s the difference:

We are using functional testing to evaluate aspects of your fertility that likely haven’t been explored before. We’re assessing minerals, toxic heavy metals, ovulation quality, progesterone production, and hormone patterns throughout your entire cycle — not just isolated snapshots.

That combined approach gives us a much deeper understanding of what your body actually needs.

And I’ve seen firsthand how effective this can be.

As of 5.27.26:

  • 28.5% of Fertility Maximizer clients get pregnant within the first month
  • 50% by month 2
  • 100% by month 5

When you finally address the root causes instead of only managing symptoms, your body often responds in amazing ways.

You Don’t Have to Jump Straight to IVF

If reading through this post helped you realize that deep down, you really don’t want to go the IVF route to get your sweet baby… I want you to know there are other options to explore first.
